Philip James Realty Panama & The Panama Link
Philip James Realty Corp. was founded in 2008 as a full service, fully licensed and bonded Panama based real estate brokerage, originally catering mostly to North American investors and second home buyers purchasing pre-construction and ocean front real estate. The company soon began working with locally based clients from Panama as well as relocates from Latin America and the rest of the world, while developing a sizable resale portfolio and close relationships with developers, local brokers, lawyers, and banks. In 2015 the company formed a separate professional management company called IPanama Management Inc. to serve its investor clients. Around this time the company also began working more closely with developers in the areas of land sourcing, strategic partnerships, and international sales efforts. In 2018, a separate corporate entity called The Panama Link was formed, which is still being built out to focus exclusively on pre-construction and luxury condo sales to international investors, in a sense bringing the company’s efforts full circle since its inception in 2008.

Philip James Schlesinger is a real estate investor in Panama and Colombia, and a partner in several development projects. He has strong relationships with some of Panama’s largest development groups and likes to structure insider deals for his investor clients. He has also worked on significant deals with large multinationals in Panama. Phil first came to Panama as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps, where he helped rural farmers export agricultural products to Miami and Puerto Rico among other endeavors. Subsequently Phil worked in the sales and marketing departments of one of Panama’s biggest developers, before starting Philip James Realty Corp. in 2007 and The Panama Link in 2018.
He has an international MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and a Masters in Public Affairs focused on Latin American trade and development from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. He is a real estate broker associate in the state of Florida with professional license since 2006.
In addition to his experience in real estate, Phil is a native Minnesotan who has lived all over the United States as well as in France, Singapore and currently Panama. He has traveled to nearly 30 countries. He has worked as a contractor and consultant for a number of public, private, and nonprofit entities, including the National Park Service, the YMCA of San Francisco, Miami-Dade Public Schools, and the strategy consulting firm Kaiser Associates in Washington, D.C. He has lived in Panama now for nearly fifteen years and has two children with dual citizenship.
